Learn to knit cuff down socks with the Magic Loop, if you’re brave, you can cast on two-at-a-time! This is a three-part class spread over several weeks, giving the participants ample time to get to the next critical learning step in their sock journey. In our first class we will talk about sock construction, demonstrate the magic loop method of knitting, cas on the cuff, and progress through the ribbing. The student is expected to continue on the cuff in the proceeding weeks, help is always available during our open crafting times. Our second class will get the students through the heel, flap and gusset of sock construction. Again the proceeding weeks are for completing the foot of your sock. Our last class will be spent completing the toe and casting on your second sock.
Nancy Nicholson has been sock knitting since 2009. While not a fan of orphaned socks, meaning the one sock syndrom, or only completing one sock, she graduated to two at a time sock knitting, so she always completes both socks at the same time. In this class, Nancy will show one sock at a time for the students to grasp the concept of magic loop, but if you’re an over achiever, she’s happy to give you tips and tricks to complete both socks at the same time.
