Class & Event Policies

Class Registration Policy

How to sign up:

Register online through the class listing. Each class page includes a materials list—please add required materials to your cart before checkout.

What’s included:

Each class description explains what the class fee includes. Most classes include instructor support through completion of the project.

Required materials:

Materials needed are noted on each class page. We kindly ask that materials be purchased at Fearless Fibers. Classes are listed as Class Fee + Materials.

When purchasing materials, select “Pick-Up in Store.”

Minimum/maximum enrollment:

A minimum of 50–75% of class capacity is required for a class to run. If enrollment is too low, we’ll notify you and offer an alternative.

Class Cancellation & Refund Policy

Student cancellations:

Life happens! If you know you can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

We’re happy to offer:

  • A transfer to another class (if space allows), or
  • Store credit

No refunds will be given after the cancellation window stated in each class description, unless a replacement student can be found.

Store-initiated cancellations:

If Fearless Fibers must cancel due to low enrollment, weather, or unexpected circumstances, we will make every effort to reschedule.

If rescheduling isn’t possible, a full refund will be issued.

Credit vs. refunds:

Cancellations initiated by the student receive store credit, unless the class is canceled by Fearless Fibers—then a full refund is provided.

Transfers:

Students may transfer to another class if the class has space and the request is made before the cancellation deadline.

Class Attendance Policy

Late arrivals:

Please slip in quietly; we’ll catch you up once the group is practicing or moving to the next step.

No-shows:

We get it—life sometimes gets chaotic. There is no penalty, but no refunds or store credit will be issued unless prior arrangements have been made.

Children & guests:

Guests are welcome to relax in the seating area.

Children 12+ may attend classes; ages 9–12 must have a paying adult with them.

Each person in the class must be a paid student.

Skill level expectations:

We’re here to help! Please talk with the team before registering if you’re unsure about skill requirements. We’ll do our best to support you without disrupting other students, and additional help can be provided during Fix-It Friday.

Inclement Weather Policy

Fearless Fibers follows local alerts and uses good judgment when conditions are questionable. Weather can change quickly, so last-minute decisions may occur the morning of the class.

Communication:

You’ll receive SMS and/or email if class is canceled—no later than one hour before class. Please keep your cell phone number up to date.

Rescheduling:

If a class cannot be rescheduled, a full refund will be issued.

Safety & Conduct (In-Store Classes)

Tool safety:

Please follow all instructor guidance when using spinning wheels, looms, needles, hooks, and sharp tools.

Allergies & fragrances:

For the comfort of all students, please avoid wearing fragrances.

If a scent disrupts the class, you may be kindly asked to step out or return another time.

Equipment Use & Liability

We want every student to have a safe, enjoyable experience while using tools and equipment at Fearless Fibers. Please handle all items—spinning wheels, needles, hooks, looms, notions, and shared tools—with care and follow instructor guidance at all times.

Using Equipment Properly

  • Use all tools and equipment only as instructed.
  • Ask for help if something feels unfamiliar or difficult — we’re here to support you!
  • Please avoid using equipment in a way that could cause damage or create risk for yourself or others.

Respect for Shared Tools

  • Many tools are shared among students. Treat them gently and return them as you found them.
  • Report any concerns, breakage, or malfunction right away so we can take care of it.

By participating in a class or event at Fearless Fibers, you acknowledge that some activities involve the use of tools or equipment (such as knitting needles, crochet hooks, scissors, spinning wheels, looms, or other fiber arts tools). While we prioritize safety and instruction, you agree to use all tools and equipment at your own risk.

Fearless Fibers, LLC is not responsible for injuries, damages, or personal property loss resulting from misuse of tools, failure to follow instructions, or accidents occurring during class, open crafting, Fix-It Friday or in-store activities.

If at any time you feel unsafe, unsure, or uncomfortable with a tool or technique, please let us know immediately — your safety and confidence matter to us.

Illness & Well-Being Policy

At Fearless Fibers, we want every class to be a comfortable, healthy, welcoming experience. Fiber crafting is a close-knit (pun intended!) activity, so we all do our part to protect one another.

If you’re feeling unwell—coughing, sneezing, feverish, or otherwise under the weather—please rest and recover at home.

We promise we’ll take good care of you.

We’re happy to:

  • Transfer you to a future class (if space allows), or
  • Help you finish your project later through Fix-It Friday or scheduled support.

If you arrive visibly ill (persistent coughing, sneezing, or symptoms that may disrupt class), we may gently ask you to head home and take care of yourself.

This is never punitive—it’s simply to protect your fellow makers. We can offer:

  • A free disposable mask, or
  • A reschedule at no penalty

Thank you for helping us keep our community healthy and happy!
